Variance Explorer for PDS Church Office Demo

This introduces a brief demo of Variance Explorer™ ("VE") for Parish Data System's Church Office ("PDS"). So that the sample data is familiar to you, this demo uses a portion of the sample data created by PDS when you install the PDS demo version. Thus, we will be reviewing the data of a hypothetical parish centered in Phoenix, Arizona.

For the demo scenario, we see how the parish financial advisor uses VE after installing it. Let’s say that the accounting system has shown him that weekly contributions have changed vs. last year’s. But the accounting system gives no idea whose contribution patterns have changed, and by how much.

The PDS database has the detailed, member-by-member, week-by-week contributions. But the reports are just a dense bunch of numbers. There’s no way to look at the pages and pages of numbers, and get actionable management information.
